03.2005 The Irish Times 3rd March 2005: Researchers at the Dublin Institute of Technology's Focus Institute are finding a novel new use for that mainstay of astronomy spectroscopy - in the diagnosis of disease. This is just one of the research projects being pursued in the institute's Radiation and Environmental Science Centre.

11.2004 The Chief Science Advisor to the Government, Dr. Barry McSweeney, officially opened Dublin Institute of Technology’s new state-of-the-art FOCAS Institute today. The FOCAS Institute is located on Camden Row, adjacent to DIT Kevin Street, Dublin 8.
